Meaning: Without caring; without worrying about

Formation:

Verb-casual + (の)もかまわず
Noun + もかまわず

Example sentences

隣の人たちは近所の人の迷惑もかまわず毎晩遅くまで騒いでいる。
The people next door don’t care about causing trouble to others. they make noise until late at night every day.
Tonari no hitotachi wa kinjo no hito no meiwaku mo kamawazu maiban osoku made sawaide iru.

彼は雨にぬれるのもかまわず歩き続けた。
He continued walking in the rain without worrying about getting wet.
Kare wa ame ni nureru no mo kamawazu aruki tsuzuketa.

酔っ払った若者は、時間もかまわず大声で歌い続けた。
The young drunk people didn’t worry about time and continued singing at the top of their lungs.
Yopparatta wakamono wa, jikan mo kamawazu oogoe de utaitsuzuketa.

彼女は、あの公判の直後、さきゆきかならず社交界にいろんな噂や非難がおこることもかまわずに、さっそく彼を自分の家へ引きとることにしたのである。
She had immediately after the scene at the trial ordered him to be carried to her house, disregarding the inevitable gossip and general disapproval of the public.
Kanojo wa, ano kouhan no chokugo, sakiyuki kanarazu shakoukai ni iron na uwasa ya hinan ga okoru koto mo kamawazu ni, sassoku kare o jibun no ie e hikitoru koto ni shita no de aru.

As they jolted slowly down the darkening road, her head on his shoulder, her bonnet askew, she had forgotten her father of the last two years.
Kure yuku michi o, basha wa yurenagara yukkuri to susunde iku. kanojo wa bonnetto ga naname ni naru no mo kamawazu, kare no kata ni atama o motasete iru uchi, kono ni nenkan no chichi no sugata wa nouri kara usurete itta.
